In
my work I often use the metaphorical qualities that material
can have.
In the piece magic of gold I have employed the strong
impressions that surface can have on a viewer.In magic
of gold I have chosen gold lustre to change the appearance
of grey plastic dishes.
By changing the surface of these rather bland dishes I
have created very desirable and valuable objects compared
to what they were before. |

With
the almost religious sumptuousness of gold glazing the
ordinary plastic dishes have been transformed to opulent
table dishes, now appropriate to be on a king’s
table.
By intuitively refining the material characteristics
of my pieces I attempt to give them a presence, which
transform them from mute objects to distinct identities.
